Larry McLean had 2 base hits and Bobby Keefe tossed a complete game shutout as
the Cincinnati Reds bested the dreadful Boston Rustlers 3 to 0 at South End
Grounds.

Keefe(7-6) was in control of the game from the outset.  He surrendered only 5
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.78 to 3.49.  Cincinnati
totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.  

The losing pitcher was Bill McTigue(0-5).  He gave up 3 runs and 6 hits in 6
innings.
