Tom Seaton went 9 strong innings at Ebbets Field as the Brooklyn Dodgers beat
the Boston-AL Red Sox 7 to 0.

Brooklyn claimed the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run
utilizing 3 base hits.  Burt Shotton tripled.  Tommy Leach stepped up next
and he smacked a single scoring the run.  That early run support was enough
for Seaton(14-4) and Brooklyn.  Brooklyn had 14 hits for the afternoon.

Walt Dickson(5-3) absorbed the loss.  By giving up 5 runs in 5 innings his ERA
increased from 3.05 to 3.49.
