Pete Schneider had an impressive outing as the Cincinnati Reds bested the
Brooklyn Robins 2 to 1 at Redland Field.

Schneider(1-1) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Brooklyn offense.
He gave up just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.08.
Neither team managed to score after the 2nd inning.

Pat Ragan(2-7) was charged with the loss. He was a hard-luck loser, pitching
8 innings and not allowing an earned run.

'We didn't have a whole lot of chances today,' Wilbert Robinson said.
'Schneider just was too much for our guys.'
