It was a great finish at Swampoodle Grounds as the Washington Nationals pulled
off a dramatic comeback beating the Indianapolis Hoosiers by the count of 10
to 9.

Washington scored the winning runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 6 runs
on 4 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ed Daily who made the
Washington fans a happy lot when he hit a single plating two runs. This was
the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.

Dupee Shaw(4-10) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing 6
runs. Henry Boyle(12-8) was hit with the loss. He allowed Washington 10 runs
in 8 and 2/3 innings of work.
