George Hemming had a complete game and Hub Collins slammed a homerun and had 2
RBI at League Park where the Brooklyn Grooms beat the Cincinnati Reds 10 to
3.

Cincinnati fell behind quickly as the Brooklyn offense came through in the
first inning plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits.  Brooklyn totaled
13 hits on the afternoon.  

Hemming(7-9) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Old Hoss
Radbourn(7-8) was charged with the loss.  He gave up 10 runs in 8 and 2/3
innings of work.  

Wth the win Brooklyn now has a record of 31-34.  With the loss, Cincinnati has
a record of 4-6 lately, 27-38 overall.
