Jack Stivetts allowed Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game at Congress St Grounds as the St. Louis Browns beat the Boston Reds in
10 innings 10 to 9.

The game was deadlocked at 9 after nine full innings. Finally, St. Louis
prevailed in the 10th inning.  Stivetts delivered a solo blast.  Boston had
15 hits in the game while St. Louis had 10, but St. Louis had the more timely
hits.  

Stivetts(23-11) finished the game allowing 9 runs in the victory. Cinders
O'Brien(12-6) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 1 run and 1
hit in 1 inning.  

The St. Louis ballclub's record now stands at 50-27. With the loss, the Boston
ballclub's record is 55-15.
