Larry Doyle had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Hooks Wiltse had a complete game as the
amazing New York Giants smashed the overmatched Pittsburg Pirates, 15 to
2.

Doyle had a big day against Pittsburg.  He doubled in the 2nd inning, tripled
in the 4th inning, tripled knocking in a run in the 7th inning and tripled
plating two runs in the 9th inning.  New York bats were very productive in
the 1st inning with 5 runs on 6 hits.  The New York offense man-handled the
Pittsburg pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.

Wiltse(17-1) allowed 2 runs on the game. Irv Young(5-10) ended up with the
loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 17 hits and 3 walks in
7 and 2/3 innings.  

'I was really seeing the ball today,' Doyle said 'I wish it was always this
easy.'
