Nellie Fox had 3 base hits as the Cincinnati Reds rallied impressively to win
in dramatic style over floundering Brooklyn Dodgers, 6 to 5.

Cincinnati came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Bill Virdon kicked off the action when he drew a
walk.  Pee Wee Reese stepped up next and he drew a walk.  Two outs later Fox
stepped in and he lashed a single knocking in a run.  Hank Bauer followed
next and he doubled giving Cincinnati the victory and sending the 27,362
home-town fans home happy.  Cincinnati had a total of 11 hits for the game.

Jackie Collum(2-3) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory. Ray
Narleski(0-4) was hit with the loss in relief.  'That was exciting!,' Fox
said.  'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
