Dad Clarkson pitched a complete game as the St. Louis Browns defeated the
Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 10 to 5 at Robison Field.

St. Louis jumped on top to stay in the 3rd inning when they came up with 2
runs on 2 hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Joe Peitz who made the
crowd come alive when he lined a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners.
St. Louis simply wore out the Philadelphia pitching staff, scoring in 6
different innings.  

Clarkson(7-11) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 5 runs. Gus
Weyhing(10-8) was tagged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14
hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.  

With this win, St. Louis has a 28-39 record.  They have been 5-5 lately.  With
the loss, the Philadelphia ballclub's record is 31-28.
