Addie Joss came through with a solid 9 innings and first baseman Fred Tenney
had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Huntington Ave Grnds as the St. Louis-AL Browns
beat the Boston-AL Americans 3 to 0.

St. Louis-AL jumped on top of Boston-AL in the 3rd inning plating one
baserunner on 2 hits.  That early scoring held up.  The Boston-AL bats were
silent in the bottom of the 9th.  

For Joss(9-5) it was his 4th shutout this year. George Mullin(5-7) was the
loser.  He pitched 9 innings and surrendered just 7 hits and no walks.

'Joss just dominated us' losing pitcher Mullin said.  'Hopefully we can get to
him the next time around'
