Catcher Billy Sullivan had 3 base hits and scored 4 times as the Boston-AL Red
Sox defeated the St. Louis-AL Browns in 11 innings by a score of 6 to 5 at
Huntington Ave Grnds.

The score was tied at 5 after nine.  Boston-AL came out the victor in the 11th
inning.  Sullivan ripped a single.  Tully Sparks came to the plate and laid
down a sacrifice bunt.  Al Shaw then stroked a base-hit resulting in a mighty
exciting win for Boston-AL and the 10,801 home town fans in attendance.  The
game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5 times.  

Sparks(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Ed
Killian(2-7) absorbed the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
