Right fielder Frank Schulte lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI
and Mordecai Brown had a complete game as the Chicago Cubs defeated the
Brooklyn Superbas in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at Washington Park.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  Chicago was victorious in the
10th inning.  Jimmy Sheckard led off and got things going when he banged out
a single.  Schulte stepped up to the plate and he cleared the fences for a
two-run home run.  Chicago finished with 9 hits in the victory.  

The victory went to Brown(6-9) who went the distance allowing 4 runs. Cy
Barger(4-11) was given the loss.  He surrendered 5 runs and 9 hits in 9 and
2/3 innings.
