Cincinnati Reds won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Boston-AL Red Sox at Crosley
Field pulling it out in their last at bats, 4 to 3.

The game was won by Cincinnati when they scored a run in the 9th inning.  Gil
McDougald drew a walk.  Two outs later Bobby Morgan came up and he delivered
a one-base hit.  Enos Slaughter then drew a walk.  Larry Doby stepped in and
he drew a walk to load the bases.  Ted Kluszewski came up to bat and laced a
single giving Cincinnati the victory and sending the 28,136 home-town fans
home happy.  Cincinnati won despite being out-hit by Boston-AL 10 hits to 7.

Stu Miller(3-2) went 2 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Walt
Masterson(1-1) suffered the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 hit and 1 walk in
2/3 of an inning.
