Jack Lynch struck out 10 batters as the New York Metropolitans defeated the
Indianapolis Hoosiers in 10 innings by the score of 4 to 3 at Seventh Street
Park.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Finally, New York
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  Lynch reached on an error.  After an
out was recorded, Steve Brady stepped in and he reached on an error.  Brady
then laced a base-knock scoring the run.  New York finished with 9 hits in
the victory.  

Lynch(15-10) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Larry
McKeon(10-16) was given the loss.  'I had my good stuff today.' Lynch said.
'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going to
strike out a bunch of hitters.'
