WEB GEMS- Top 1st: Yank Robinson robbed Jocko Milligan of a base hit.

Dave Foutz allowed Charlie Comiskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the St. Louis Browns bested the slumping Philadelphia Athletics 14 to
7 at Sportsman's Park.

St. Louis went ahead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning when they scored
2 runs on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Foutz who brought the
crowd to their feet when he lined a base-hit which was good for two runs.
St. Louis had a total of 17 hits for the game.

Foutz(17-9), allowing 7 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Al
Atkinson(7-10) was hit with the loss. He was unable to control the St. Louis
offense and allowed 17 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
