Frank Killen had a complete game at Exposition Park as the Pittsburg Pirates
beat the Washington Senators 9 to 5.

Pittsburg came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning.  The critical
plate appearance was by Steve Brodie who made the Pittsburg fans a happy lot
when he tripled with all three runners coming home.  Pittsburg won despite
being out-hit by Washington 13 hits to 8.  

Killen(10-9) allowed 5 runs on the game. Win Mercer(9-9) suffered the loss.
He was not very effective, surrendering 9 runs in 8 innings.
