The Chicago club were able to stop their 6 game losing streak and easily
topped the Indianapolis Hoosiers; the final score was 9 to 2.
Chicago jumped out to the early lead in the first inning as they scored 4 runs
on 3 base hits. That early run support was all that Mike Prendergast(2-2)
required. Both teams finished the game with 9 hits.
Harry Billiard(4-3) was hit with the loss. He was touched for 8 hits and 4
walks in 4 innings. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Joe Tinker sighed. 'That win
feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much time in
the desert lately.'
