Allie Reynolds came through with a solid 8 innings and third baseman Willie
Jones had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Boston-AL
Red Sox by a score of 5 to 4 at Fenway Park.

Reynolds(10-4) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Boston-AL offense.
He surrendered only 2 hits and no walks in 8 innings lowering his ERA from
4.61 to 4.32.  Boston-AL had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

Reynolds got help from Ellis Kinder who earned his 14th save.  Mickey
McDermott(4-6) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 6 innings allowing 11 hits
and no walks.
