Left fielder Ralph Kiner connected with a 'big fly' and had 5 RBI as the
Cincinnati Reds crushed the pathetic Boston-AL Red Sox 14 to 3.

Kiner made sure the Cincinnati fans enjoyed themselves.  He doubled bringing
in two baserunners in the 1st inning and blasted a two-run home run in the
7th inning.  For the game Cincinnati out-hit Boston-AL 11 to 8.  

Warren Hacker(7-5) got the win allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Preacher Roe got
the save, his 9th.  Johnny Klippstein(5-9) was the losing pitcher.  He had
trouble throwing strikes and issued 6 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.  

The Cincinnati ballclub's record now stands at 54-42.  With the loss, the
Boston-AL ballclub's record is 31-61, worst in the league.
