In an exciting finish the Louisville Colonels pulled out a win over the
Baltimore Orioles by a score of 6 to 5 at Eclipse Park.

The deciding run was scored by Louisville in the 9th.  After two outs Fred
Clarke reached on an error.  Jim Rogers came to the plate and reached on an
error.  Ducky Holmes then was hit by a pitch.  Doggie Miller was up next and
he reached on an error giving Louisville the victory as 2,273 happy fans
celebrated wildly.  Louisville rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.  

Bert Cunningham(4-5) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2/3 of an
inning. The loss was charged to Dad Clarkson(4-7) in relief.  He surrendered
1 run and no hits in 2/3 of an inning.
