The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Finally, St. Louis prevailed in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Bert Myers started the attack as he laced a base-knock. Monte Cross stepped up next and he slapped a single, and an error was also committed. After another out, Bill Kissinger then ripped a base-hit scoring a run. Klondike Douglass followed and he slapped a single resulting in an exciting win for St. Louis and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the afternoon.
