George Mullin(14-7) and Hooks Wiltse(3-6) dueled it out with Mullin and the
Detroit Tigers coming out on top of the Washington Senators by the score of 2
to 0.

Mullin pitched a solid game.  He surrendered only 5 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.  Neither team managed to score after the 1st inning.  

Mullin got help from Ed Walsh who earned his 15th save.  With this win,
Detroit has a division leading 50-35 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.
Washington continued their losing ways and their record is now 28-52, worst
in the division.  They are 2-8 in their last ten games.
