Jack Powell pitched a complete game as the St. Louis Browns bested the
Washington Nationals 7 to 6 at American League Park.

The game was won by St. Louis when they scored a run in the top of the 9th
inning.  George Stone stroked a single.  Stone was running on the next pitch
and he stole second.  After an out was recorded, Jimmy Williams then laced a
one-base hit scoring the run.  Despite losing, Washington out-hit St. Louis
11 to 7.  

Powell(8-8) got the victory, allowing 6 runs for the game. Cy Falkenberg(1-5)
ended up with the loss in relief.  Wth the win St. Louis now has a record of
43-34.  With the loss Washington now has a record of 42-33.
