Bill Grahame completed the game without help from the bullpen at Sportsman'S
Park as the St. Louis Browns staged a comeback win over the Boston Red Sox by
the count of 3 to 2.

St. Louis came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 3
runs using 2 hits.  Roy Hartzell led off the inning for St. Louis when he
reached on an error.  George Stone followed next and he ripped a base-knock.
Danny Hoffman then drew a walk to load the bases.  Art Griggs stepped in and
he doubled knocking home two runners.  Tom Jones came to the plate and drew a
walk to load the bases.  Jimmy Williams contributed to the rally and hit a
sacrifice fly giving St. Louis the win as 4,884 happy fans joyfully
celebrated.  Despite losing, Boston out-hit St. Louis 9 to 4.

Grahame(10-5) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Frank
Arellanes(11-4) was tagged with the loss.  'Now that is what I call fun! I
just love baseball, especially games like this, of course,' Jimmy McAleer
offered.  'Everyone at the stadium had a great time - did you see the fans go
wild there at the end?!'
