George Mullin had a complete game and George Moriarty had 3 base hits and 5
RBI as the Washington Nationals were badly beaten by the Detroit Tigers, 13
to 1.

Moriarty made sure the Detroit fans enjoyed themselves.  He doubled clearing
the bases in the 3rd inning, banged out a single in the 6th inning and
delivered a one-base hit which brought home a run in the 8th inning.  The
Detroit offense man-handled the Washington pitching staff as they scored in 7
of the 9 innings.  

The win was credited to Mullin(15-4) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Dolly Gray(3-9) was tagged with the loss.  He was knocked around by Detroit,
allowing 19 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
