Pink Hawley was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Bones Ely had 6 hits and 4 RBI at Robison Field as the St.
Louis Browns belted the Baltimore Orioles by the count of 21 to 8.

The St. Louis fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ely. He ripped a
base-knock in the 2nd inning, smacked a single bringing in a run in the 3rd
inning, banged out a one-base hit in the 5th inning, stroked a single which
brought home a run in the 6th inning, laced a single which brought home a run
in the 7th inning and lined a base-hit scoring a run in the 8th inning. St.
Louis kept the scorekeepers busy in the 8th inning which saw them score 9
runs on 7 hits. The St. Louis offense was as consistent as it was powerful.
They scored in every inning, making a joke of the Baltimore pitching.

Hawley(9-7) lasted until the end allowing 8 runs for the win. Bert Inks(6-7)
was charged with the loss. He was unable to control the St. Louis offense
and allowed 23 hits and 10 walks in 8 innings.
