In a thrilling finish the Cleveland Spiders won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the New York Giants by the count of 7 to 6.

Cleveland had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs on 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Harry Blake began the rally
when he reached on an error.  Chief Zimmer stepped up next and he banged out
a single.  Nig Cuppy then drew a walk to load the bases.  Mike Sullivan then
let loose a wild pitch which scored a run.  Jesse Burkett came to the plate
and was walked intentionally to load the bases.  Jimmy McAleer kept things
alive and lined a one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for Cleveland and
a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Both teams totaled 9
hits on the afternoon.  

Bobby Wallace(6-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Sullivan(3-4) was charged with the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and 2
walks in 1/3 of an inning.
