at South Side Park as the Chicago White Sox beat the woeful New York
Highlanders by the count of 3 to 2.

In the 4th inning Chicago went on top for good scoring one runner. Altizer
tripled. Freddy Parent followed next and he hit a deep fly scoring the run.
New York threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.

The victory went to Scott(5-6) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Joe
Lake(4-10) was the loser. 'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat
us today' George Stallings said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but
this one was hard to take.'
