Cleveland took the lead off Marion Fricano in the first inning when they
tallied 5 runs on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Gus Zernial who
excited the crowd when he lost the ball over the fence for three runs.
Cleveland rapped out 11 hits for the night.
Marv Grissom(5-3) allowed 4 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Fricano(4-6) took the loss. He was knocked around pretty good,
