Stadium by the score of 9 to 8.
Roy Face(2-1) contributed a very nice performance in relief. He went 1 inning
allowing no hits and 1 walk. Philadelphia-AL had a chance to come back in
the 9th but they came up short.
Face was helped out by Joe Nuxhall who recorded his 9th save. Mike
Garcia(11-8) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.
