TEAM RISP- White Stockings: 4 for 8 Cowboys: 3 for 13

Stump Weidman tossed a complete game and second baseman Al Myers hit 2 doubles
and had 3 RBI at Association Park as the Kansas City Cowboys beat the Chicago
White Stockings 8 to 6.

Weidman(9-14) pitched okay, well enough for the win. He was reached for 12
hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the
lead change 5 times.

Jim McCormick(16-6) ended up with the loss. It was a tough loss for him as he
did not allow an earned run in his 8 innings of work.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Weidman, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
