Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 8 to 1.

St. Louis took the lead off Bill Duggleby in the first inning plating an
isolated run.  John Farrell drew a walk.  Homer Smoot next to the plate and
he hit a single.  After an out was recorded, George Barclay then would ground
out scoring the run.  Neither team managed to score after the 3rd inning.

The win went to Stan Yerkes(10-11) who allowed 1 run in 8 innings. The losing
