TEAM RISP- Phillies: 9 for 17 Senators: 3 for 10

Center fielder John Anderson had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Philadelphia-NL
Phillies outscored the Washington Senators 12 to 6.

Anderson was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He lined a base-hit in the 1st inning,
lined a one-base hit scoring a run in the 3rd inning, tripled in the 7th
inning and tripled knocking in a run in the 8th inning. Philadelphia-NL
ended up with 17 hits for the game while Washington had 11.

The victory went to Fred Mitchell(3-9) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 4
runs. Bob Ewing(4-11) was the losing pitcher. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 10 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
