Harry McIntire allowed Frank Chance to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game and Frank Schulte hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the blistering-hot Chicago Cubs topped the Boston Rustlers in 19 innings by a score of 9 to 7 at South End Grounds. Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings. Chicago won the game in the 19th inning. Wilbur Good kicked off the action when he slapped a single. After an out was recorded, McIntire stepped up to the plate and he delivered a one-base hit. Jimmy Sheckard then stroked a base-hit to load the bases. Schulte followed next and he doubled scoring two teammates. Chicago bats were very productive in the 1st inning with 5 runs on 5 hits. Chicago finished with 20 hits in the victory. The win was credited to McIntire(8-5) who went the whole way allowing 7 runs. Buster Brown(6-8) was the loser in relief. Chicago won for the 9th straight time. 'We're running on all cylinders now', said Chance. 'I probably shouldn't change a thing and let the guys continue to put up the wins.'
