Del Pratt had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Earl Hamilton went the distance as the
St. Louis Browns won a dandy at Sportsman's Park over the New York Yankees, 5
to 4.

St. Louis won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an
out was recorded, Gus Williams tripled.  One out later, Bobby Wallace came to
the plate and reached on an error giving St. Louis the victory as 1,609 happy
fans celebrated wildly.  St. Louis had a total of 12 hits for the game.

The winning pitcher was Hamilton(7-11) who allowed 4 runs for the game. Ray
Keating(5-9) was the losing pitcher.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12
hits and 3 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.  

The St. Louis ballclub's record now stands at 37-52.  With this loss, New York
has a 3-7 record of late, 27-52, worst in the league overall.
