Center fielder Dom Dimaggio had 5 hits and scored 3 times as the Washington
Nationals bested the Chicago-NL Cubs 9 to 3 at Wrigley Field.

Washington took the lead for good in the top of the 3rd inning when they
tallied 3 runs on 3 hits.  That was all Warren Spahn(8-6) needed.  Washington
had 13 hits for the afternoon while Chicago-NL had 7.  

Cliff Chambers(8-6) was the loser.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 11 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.  Wth the win Washington now has a
record of 43-36.  Chicago-NL has a record of 37-42 after the loss.
