Shortstop Pee Wee Reese jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI at
Municipal Stadium as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Cleveland Indians 8 to
3.

Cincinnati took the lead for good in the 2nd inning when they tallied 2 runs
on 2 hits.  Cincinnati totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.  

Mickey McDermott(5-1) allowed 3 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory.
Ernie Johnson recorded his 19th save.  Steve Gromek(5-9) was charged with the
loss.  He served up 4 gopher balls in 3 and 2/3 innings.  

The Cincinnati ballclub's record now stands at 45-42.  With this loss,
Cleveland has a 6-4 record of late, 39-44 overall.
