Charlie Buffinton tossed a complete game and left fielder Al Maul had 4 hits
at Baseball Grounds as the Philadelphia Quakers beat the Detroit Wolverines
by the count of 10 to 7.

Philadelphia went ahead for good in the 7th inning plating one baserunner on 2
hits.  Barney McLaughlin delivered a single, and an error was also committed.
Charlie Bastian came next and he drew a walk.  Tom Gunning then ripped a
one-base hit to load the bases.  Buffinton stepped in and he hit a deep fly
scoring the run.  Philadelphia rapped out 18 hits for the afternoon.

Buffinton(8-9) was the winner allowing 7 runs for the game. Lady Baldwin(9-6)
was charged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 18 hits and 3 walks
in 8 innings.  

The Philadelphia ballclub's record now stands at 29-34. With the loss, Detroit
has a record of 7-3 lately, 37-23 overall.
