Bill Higgins had 2 base hits and Toad Ramsey was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game at Sportsman's Park as the St.
Louis Browns beat the Philadelphia Athletics by the count of 9 to
6.

Philadelphia was unable to recover after St. Louis went ahead in the 4th
inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  St. Louis and Philadelphia each
finished the afternoon with 9 hits.  

Ramsey(17-8) lasted until the end allowing 6 runs for the win. Jim
Whitney(1-4) was the loser.  He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did
not allow an earned run in the game.  

St. Louis remained hot, improving their record to 34-35.  They now have a
record of 8-2 in recent days.  With the loss Philadelphia now has a record of
33-36.
