Center fielder George Decker went deep and had 3 RBI at West Side Park as the
Chicago Colts beat the Louisville Colonels in 10 innings by the count of 10
to 9.

The score was tied at 9 after nine.  Chicago won it in the 10th inning.  After
an out was recorded, Walt Wilmot laced a base-knock.  After another out, Cap
Anson stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk.  Anson then called for a
steal which was successful.  Decker was up next and he was walked
intentionally.  Charlie Irwin came to the plate and laced a single giving
Chicago the victory as 4,481 happy fans celebrated wildly.  Chicago totaled
13 hits on the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Willie McGill(6-15) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
George Hemming(6-16) was given the loss.  He allowed 12 hits and 6 walks in 9
and 2/3 innings.
