Duffy Lewis had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Boston-AL Red Sox defeated the
Chicago-NL Cubs 14 to 6 at West Side Park.

Chicago-NL was unable to overcome the big offensive rally by Boston-AL in the
9th inning showing no mercy on Chicago-NL as they plated 8 runs on 8 hits.
The biggest moment was provided by Lewis who deflated the spirits of the home
town crowd when he delivered a single bringing in two baserunners.
Chicago-NL was out-hit by Boston-AL, 18 hits to 12.  

The victory went to Chief Bender(2-4) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
The losing pitcher was Byron Houck(3-6) in relief.  He allowed 9 hits and 3
