Alex Kellner whitewashed Chicago-NL and Joe Tipton hit a homerun as the
Boston-AL Red Sox crushed the Chicago-NL Cubs 10 to 0.

Kellner(5-5) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He gave up just 7 hits
and no walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.01 to 2.78. Boston-AL had
many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

Bob Cain(3-12) was the loser. He allowed Boston-AL 6 runs in 2 and 1/3
innings of work. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Mel Gross sighed. 'That win feels
like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the
desert lately.'
