Charlie Buffinton completed the game without help from the bullpen and Bill
Annis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the indomitable Boston Beaneaters
clobbered the outmatched Providence Grays, 18 to 4.

Providence was unable to recover after Boston went ahead in the 2nd inning
when they scored 3 runs on 2 hits.  Boston bats were hot in the 7th inning
which saw them score 9 runs on 7 hits.  Boston totaled 20 hits on the
afternoon.  

The win went to Buffinton(25-8) who allowed 4 runs in the game. Cyclone
Miller(0-2) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 20 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
