Charlie Ferguson went the distance at Swampoodle Grounds where the
Philadelphia Quakers beat the Washington Nationals 9 to 1.

Philadelphia set the tone of the game in the first inning plating an isolated
run on 3 hits.  Philadelphia kept the scorekeepers busy in the 3rd inning
with 4 runs on 4 hits.  Philadelphia had 20 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Ferguson(13-9) who allowed 1 run for the game. Bill
Wise(0-1) was given the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 6 hits and 2 walks
in 2 innings.
