McTamany was running on the next pitch and he stole second. After an out was recorded, Bobby Wheelock came to the plate and slapped a one-base hit plating another run. Columbus continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. One out later, Mike Lehane came to bat and delivered a base-hit. Bert Cunningham then uncorked a pitch that was ruled a passed ball scoring the final run of the inning. Columbus out-hit Baltimore for the game, 15 hits to 12. Jack Easton(7-9) went 4 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Cunningham(12-9) was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 3 runs and 4 hits in 4 innings.
