Roy Thomas came next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Tom Jones then delivered a one-base hit plating a run. Jones took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. Mickey Doolin came up to bat and delivered a single driving in one more runner. Doolin took second on the throw. Bill Bergen kept the inning going and hit a single.
