Red Dooin had 2 base hits and Harry Gaspar pitched 9 strong innings as the
Boston-NL Braves defeated the St. Louis-AL Browns by a score of 10 to 2 at
South End Grounds.

The game started off with Boston-NL taking the lead in the first scoring a
single run.  Dick Egan reached on an error.  Willie Keeler stepped up next
and he ripped a base-knock.  Sam Crawford then drew a walk to load the bases.
Jake Stahl was up next and he grounded into a double play scoring the run.
Boston-NL simply wore out the St. Louis-AL pitching staff, scoring in 6
different innings.  

Gaspar(4-5) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Lew
Richie(3-7) was charged with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 14 hits
and 4 walks in 7 innings.  

'Gaspar took our guys to school' Tim Singer said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch
for us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'
