Lew Richie pitched a complete game and Frank Schulte hit 3 doubles and had 2
RBI at West Side Park as the potent Chicago Cubs beat the Brooklyn Superbas
by the count of 7 to 2.

Brooklyn fell behind quickly as the Chicago offense came through in the first
inning when they tallied 4 runs on 5 hits.  That early scoring held up.
Chicago finished with 10 hits in the victory.  

Richie(5-6) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Elmer
Knetzer(2-2) ended up with the loss.  The winning ways continue for Chicago.
They now have a record of 9-1 in recent days.  With the loss Brooklyn now has
a record of 30-47, worst in the league.
