Cincinnati had 3 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning when they came up with
5 base hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  Cincinnati out-hit
St. Louis-AL for the game, 10 hits to 7.  

Babe Adams(10-7) was the winner allowing 1 run in 8 and 1/3 innings. Adams got
help from Hooks Wiltse who earned his 7th save.  The losing pitcher was Art
Fromme(2-1).  

With this win, Cincinnati has a division leading 50-37 record.  They have been
5-5 lately.  With this loss, St. Louis-AL has a 6-4 record of late, 47-32
overall.
