Breitenstein tossed a complete game at Robison Field as the St. Louis Browns
beat the Brooklyn Bridegrooms by the count of 7 to 6.
It was a good day for St. Louis thanks to Parrott. He banged out a single in
the 2nd inning, lined a one-base hit in the 3rd inning, bombed a two-run
dinger in the 5th inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 7th
inning. St. Louis had a total of 14 hits for the game.
The win was credited to Breitenstein(9-18) who went the whole way allowing 6
runs. Bert Abbey(3-9) suffered the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 8
innings.
